Plastics enhance safety and efficiency in medical and pharmaceutical applications and they have the ability to protect sensitive technical products from damage.
The Packaging sector is the largest consumer of plastic in Europe with around half of all Europe's goods now packaged in plastic, increasingly replacing traditional material due to its inherent benefits. Plastic packaging is low-carbon, lightweight and 100% recyclable, making it an ideal material for the circular economy.
Thanks to constant innovation and achievement of resource efficiency - plastic accounts for only 20 % of packaging by weight.
