3D Printing within the Plastics Converting Industry
Participate in our survey on the use of 3D Printing in the plastics converting industry and read our vision paper to discover the advantages of 3D Printing
Thursday, March 8, 2018 — To embrace 3D Printing (3DP) or Additive Manufacturing (AM) and the opportunities it brings for the plastics converting industry, EuPC founded its 3DP Platform in 2017. The first step to enable plastics converters to use the full potential of the 3DP industry, is to inform converting companies, which opportunities 3DP bears for their business. To raise awareness and stimulate the consideration of 3DP, EuPC drafted a vision paper and a survey designed to provide a better view of the current status of 3DP in the plastics converting industry.
The participation in the survey will only take 5 minutes of your time and will help EuPC to develop tailor made information that can benefit the whole plastics converting industry in Europe. To access the survey, please click here.
3DP Polymers are used in a wide array of applications, from the production of personalised items and industrial fixtures, over the maintenance and repair of machines and installations, to medical technology. The 3DP of plastic objects clearly has a direct impact on the plastics converting industry, but 3DP affects plastics converting on more levels.
To read more about 3D Printing in the plastics converting industry and to discover the advantages it could bring to your company, please take a look at the complete Vision Paper "Towards 3D Printing within the Plastics Converting Industry in Europe" that can be found attached.
EuPC's 3D Printing Platform will as well be organising a workshop at the EuPC Annual Meeting on the 24th and 25th May in Milan, Italy. During the workshop, companies will present concrete examples of their use of 3D Printing in the plastics converting industry. More information can be found at circularfuturewithplastics.eu.
