On Tuesday 31st January and Wednesday 1st Februay, MERLIN project held its third General Meeting in Rotterdam. EuPC was of course present, and was represented by Aude Bourgeois and Maëlys Makotta.
We were very happy to meet again all the partners of the consortium and to talk in details about the work done until now in each Work Package, as well as the next steps to be taken.
Maëlys Makotta, our Account Executive, presented and explained EuPC's work and research, its contribution and involvement regarding "𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒚 & 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌".
It was also the opportunity to visit the Indorama Ventures PCL facilities who works, among other tasks, on producing rPET from multilayer packaging within MERLIN.
The next steps will be to perform an industrial proof-of-concept for multilayer sorting, scale-up of the delamination processes and development of recycling processes for the separated fractions and the obtained monomers.
